A surf trip to the Huntington Pier with John Kemper in what was the best surf hearse ever. The hearse was a 1948 Packard. On the rear fender was the name "The Body Snatcher"
On the back door was a picture of a grave yard at sundown. On the head stones were the names of The Big Bopper, Buddy Holly and Richey Vallens. The art work was really good as I remember. The hearse was dropped a few inches in the front and had Ram tube exhaust pipes straight out underneath the car. It really looked cool. I can't remember who the other guys were this day. We were parked right by the entrance to the pier and after getting out of the water some older girls came by and said that we were sick. That brought out a few good hoots from all the guys. Oh yea, just another good day of surfing for some South Bay surfers. Tim Tuthill/More to come!
