As you arrived at Onofre, the ocean was empty, all sufrers,
wannabees, try2bees, and all the regulars. stood on the logs,
commenting how great it's gonna be, yeah, you guessed it, "When
the tide goes out." You could read the "old guys'" thoughts as they
sipped Starbucks double thick lattes, it was safer up here rather
than challenge a furious storm surge. One bloke, in his mid
fifties, dropped to one knee offering a prayer for a safe return.
A log count was taken of all combatants dressed in Ugg Boots,
clutching a Coor's Lite, a breakfast burrito, bleary Big Helyn's
eyes, left over fries from "The Rib", and a Farmer John hanging
from their waist. Momentarily, in order to ease tension, someone
will start a safe bocci-ball game witf Dr. Irwin. It is the biggest
waves in the history of Ol''Nofre and they're all playing bocci's.
