Praise the Lord, the professional homeless are returning back
home for Ventura County, ready to squander your tax dollars. I think
they learned from the real pros, SOSC derelicts "still standing".
Conchita's freeloaders gathered lots from our hard-core point
dwellers, and TEAMBIGKOOK (whatever's left of them).
Several years back during the good ol' days, a bunch of so-called
free spirits claiming to be Bohemians doing what they wanted, annexed
Strawberry Canyon in a group love fest, singing Beatle songs, tossing
rose petals into an afternoon zephyr, spreading peace and love among
themselves, and anyone else willing to hug and recite poetry.
All this crazy beach life was introduced to America, summer of '59
by Gabriel Upton in a screenplay about an enclave of Malibu
surfriders led by The Big Kahoona, Moondoggie, Malibu Matt, Stinky,
Lover Boy, Hotshot, and a girl midget. Is it not ironic, nearly 100 years
down the line, poor surfers are "still trying to recapture that summertime
rapture". Hang in boys, been there drunk that.
