World Without Violence: M.K.Ghandi Institute for Nonviolence.
Thank You NeoN and Arun Ghandi.
On Planet Earth everyone steps to a different drummer. The beat I hear is one of nonviolent, but that is what I want. In my world the oceans are blue, the water clear. Rivers run deep, fish plentiful. Mountains are a majestic purple in the afternoon sun, their peaks mantled with glacier white snow caps. Green meadows, grass blades vibrating in the summer breeze spreading as far as the eye can see. I live with peace and tranquility in a snug harbor of wind chimes and fluffy clouds. We neither read newspapers nor watch television. There is no violence here. That is how we want it.
paradoxically, some people hear a different drummer. They live in a world of violence, smoke bombs, guns, Molotov Cocktails, and grenades. Streets are littered with trash, homeless are everywhere. They riot and loot,
and murder. Their streets are choked with smoke and haze. Garbage trucks and busses belch black fumes. They are bodies in bedlam--but that is how they want it. For a world without violence they must have the burning desire to cross the line. I know the world without violence, but do the violent ones dare embrace serenity and non-suffering?
